God is love.

There is a living God who loves each of us with a love so great that the oceans below or even the galaxies above could never contain it.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

God knows who you are and what you've been through and He wants you to experience true love, acceptance, forgiveness and peace.

Are You going to heaven?

2) If God asked you, "Why should I let you into my heaven?" what would you say?

Be sure: God's free Gift

Heaven is an eternal paradise where there is no pain, no sorrow, no death. It is a place of perfect peace and joy and it is God's free gift to us.

"…the Gift of God is eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 6:23

Because heaven is a gift, it is not earned or deserved.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

We aren't perfect enough

None of us are perfect. All human beings are sinners.

"...For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

• Sin is violating (knowingly or unknowingly) God's Law and includes such things as
lying, lust, cheating, deceit, hatred, evil thoughts, immoral behavior and more.
because of sin, we cannot save ourselves

If you wanted to save yourself by good deeds, the Bible says you would have to be

"...perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48

• God's standard for salvation is so high that none of us could ever save ourselves.

We have a serious Problem…

God loves us and wants for each of us to have eternal life. He is perfect and can't
tolerate the presence of sin in our lives, but He must punish sin.

God solved this problem for us in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus lived Love louder.
The Bible tells us He is the infinite GOD-MAN.

"In the beginning was the Word (Jesus)... and the Word (Jesus) was God.  And the Word (Jesus) became flesh and dwelt among us."   John 1:1,14

- Jesus Christ came to earth and lived a sinless life.  He understands what you're going through because he lived life here on earth as a human being.

What did He do?
He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and rose from the grave to
purchase a place for us in heaven.

"All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity (sin) of us all."   Isaiah 53:6

- Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross and now offers you eternal life (heaven) as a free gift.

How do you receive the Gift of eternal Life?
Because this is such an important matter, let's clarify what it involves.

It means you have to:
· Transfer your trust.
...From what you have been doing to what Christ has done for you on the cross.

· Accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
Open the door to your heart and invite Him in.  Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."   Rev. 3:20

· Pray to Accept Jesus into Your heart
"Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and do not deserve eternal life.  But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in heaven for me.  Lord Jesus, come into my life; take control of my life; forgive my sins and save me.  I repent of my sins and now I place my trust in You for my salvation.  I accept the free gift of eternal life."

Today is your spiritual birthday!
Write it down somewhere safe that today you were born into the family of God.

Spend time talking and listening to God each day.

Regularly attend a local church that worships Jesus Christ and teaches you the Bible.

4. Fellowship
Spend time regularly with other Christians who will help you to grow.

5. Share your faith
Tell others what Jesus Christ has done for you and what He means to you.
